Ute beliefs The Ute people believed in “Father Sky & Mother Earth! -Mother Earth provides what is needed to those who show their respect… -Father Sky, created the Sun, Moon, stars, & Earth… (The key to the Ute Tribe’s survival was there relationship with nature…) Whatever the environment they lived in may be, they survived by living in Harmony with it… whether good or bad…

Coming into existence SINAWAV,( transparent variant of the Ute word: ‘WOLF’ ), is the creator of the Ute’s. COYOTE,( Transparent variant of the Ute word: ‘YOHGOY’/’Fornicate- “LITTLE FUCKER”) SINAWAV & COYOTE ARE BROTHERS Coyote is the evil younger brother……. Sinawav gathered sticks into a magical sack… Sinawav gave the sack to Coyote along with some simple instructions. Coyote opened the sack to see what was inside. Upon opening, almost all the people escaped. Sinawav took he remaining people to the top of the mountain. He named them “UTE” and claimed them as the chosen people.

How the Ute people survived
The Ute people Began Hunting At A Young Age… The Ute Tribe were a people who hunted to survive. They began primarily with fish and advanced to hunting larger animals when they got horses from the Spanish.
