Sustantivos en Español
A bit about Spanish nouns: Like in English, nouns in Spanish are used to identify people, animals, places, things, or ideas. Unlike in English, all Spanish nouns (even those that refer to non-living things) have gender: masculine or feminine.

As in English, nouns in Spanish also have number, meaning they are either singular or plural.

ENTONCES: (So…) When we introduce the following vocabulary, make sure to include the article (EL or LA) that comes in front of the word, as that will dictate what gender the noun is.
