Encourage academic excellence and fellowship among our student body.
Cultivate relationships and understanding between the student body and faculty.
Bring awareness and appreciation to the osteopathic profession within our community.
Develop and continue relationships with our community, promote service, and inspire education within the surrounding areas.

5. Be the match
Be The Match manages the largest marrow registry in the world and works every day to save lives through transplants.
80+ students and faculty signed up to be on the bone marrow stem cell donation registry.

6. Homeless outreach
Union Gospel Mission exists to provide Christ-centered rescue, recovery, and restoration to those in need, and to see individuals in the Yakima community be set free from homelessness.
Partnered with the UGM to help Yakima’s homeless community by holding a winter clothing drive in preparation for winter.
This year’s event will include a food drive.

7. Take back your meds
Yakima County Crime Stoppers holds a biannual event for community members to have their outdated financial records safely shredded and to turn in their unused/expired prescription medications for safe disposal.

8. Mentorship Programs
OMS I orientation presentation on tips for approaching the first year of medical school.
Lunchtime seminars on effective study habits.
Advice and mentorship from club members.
Clinical rotations tips from 3rd and 4th year SSP members.
Implementing a tutoring program at local high schools during the academic year.

9. Fundraising
Raised $880 steaming gowns for graduating OMS IVs prior to their ceremony.
