What is Design Team Competitive undergraduate design program
Five students per team in Fall Up to eight students in Spring 10-12 teams annually (One FTE) 14 teams in with 1.5 FTE Students choose from among “vetted” projects bedside to bench to bedside ~20% projects global health since 2008

Novel Feature Hierarchical team –Team Leaders (seniors and juniors) selected in prior Fall term Students apply and are interviewed by three faculty – 40% accepted Informal training in Spring term Becoming one-credit course in Spring 2016 (for academic year) Students select teams in Spring Project selection continues from Spring through Fall

Outcomes Success? Five start-up companies
~Two dozen licensed to commercial enterprises Three Issued patents (since 2003) >Dozen pending National Design Awards > 40 Grants/Awards > $1M Success?
