And there are many other drivers: access to online educational material and courses, computer and console-based gaming, and probably lots of others that are--at the moment--just a twinkle in some entrepreneur’s eye.
But the lesson here is that, we believe, even the most ambitious conceptions of broadband in the United States today top-out at Mbps, and are limited by asymmetric bandwidth. If we can’t break this barrier, it will be THE bottleneck for fully realizing the natural demand people would have for the kinds of capabilities.
