Pressure: Impingement on adjacent structures

Production of hormones

5. DIAGNOSIS Laboratory tests: blood, body fluid, aspirates, biopsies
Radiology: X rays, Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI

In Men: skin, prostate, bowel and lung
In Women: skin, breast, bowel and lung

14. PREVENTION Regular check ups Screening programs:
BREAST: Mammogram at 50 then 2 yearly. At 40 if immediate family history
BOWEL: FOBT at Regular colonoscopy if immediate family history
CERVICAL: Currently 2 yearly pap smears, As of May yearly molecular test.
