POLYGONS A polygon is a flat 2-dimensional figure made up of line segments called sides. A polygon can have any number of sides, as long as it has at least three sides.

TRIANGLES Triangles are the most simplest type of polygons.
The prefix tri- means three. All triangles have 3 sides 3 vertices and 3 angles.

QUADRANGLES A quadrangle is a polygon that has four sides. Another name for quadrangle is a quadrilateral. The prefix quad- means four. All quadrangles have 4 vertices, 4 sides, and 4 angles. A quadrangle is named by listing in order the letter names for vertices

Squares A square has 4,angles 4,verticies and 4 ,sides

TRAPEZOIDS Trapezoids have exactly 1 pair of parallel sides. The 4 sides of a trapezoid can all have different length.

Pentagon A pentagon has 5 sides, 5 angles, and 5 vertices
