IFTDGN – DG Notification Message
International Forwarding and Transport Dangerous Goods Notification message (IFTDGN) : information on dangerous goods (vessel, train, truck or barge, as required by Port Authorities and Inland Water Authorities) cooperation with the container lines, highly automated, so all the necessary information is held, usually centrally, in their computer systems: one notification procedure for dangerous goods, common to all ports. PROTECT Group defined IFTDGN framework to ensure that the data requirements of each port were met in terms of the national and international legislation, mainly IMO-based legislation (such as IMDG, IGC, IBC Codes or Marpol) as well as local port legislation.
