6. Student card Go to The SiO Customer Centre in Kristian Ottosens hus
Before you can get a student card you must pay the semester fee
Usage:
Entrance card to buildings
Library card
Printer card
(On campus, in the same building as the bookstore Akademika).
You can document that you are a student either with the digital student ID app on your mobile phone or with a semester receipt on paper and a student card.

7. User name and password
New students receive an SMS with their usernames. When you have received the username, you can set a password using the Password services-portal.
Need help? It-support for students is located in the reception on the first floor, there is also a helpdesk on campus; Houston located in the same building as Akademika

8. Master areaeas
In each floor (except 6th) there is master areas, lesesal with computers etc.
The regulations for the master study rooms can be found on the doors of each room.
Take a look at the areas later today. Usage is first come, first served, you can not expect to get the same desk every

First deadline for course registration is Thursday 17. august (tomorrow) the course registration is closed until august 22th.
Final deadline for signing up for courses is September 1.

14. Study plan agreement
By December you must hand in your study plan agreement this is where you decide upon courses in your master degree, and who your supervisor is.
•More information about available theses and meetings with the different research groups and Simula, ITS and SINTEF will be held in september/october.

15. External education
If you have some courses or education from outside of UiO and want to use that in our master degree, come by us in the administration and talk with us.

It’s possible to take one semester as an exchange student: you will get invitation to information meeting about this soon.
