Common Channel Naming Issues Modify existing TIA standard to include new 700 MHz air to ground channels Examine best practices for statewide I/O channel naming 700 MHz itinerant channels analog operation, naming issues Yarnell Hill Fire Proposal Recognize official report notes that some radios were programmed incorrectly Examine best practices document for major incident radio programming. Coordinate with Radio PCR group. Railroad Police, Access to PS I/O Channels

TETRA radio supplier outreach Critical infrastructure entities are purchasing TETRA systems with limited knowledge of public safety interoperability impact. Public Safety agencies are being invited to TETRA sales events. SAFECOM is developing a position paper to help educate public safety and CII entities of the interoperability problems associated with TETRA. NPSTC will review the SAFECOM proposal for endorsement. FCC is ready to advance solutions for I/O problems Public Safety Canada concerned over some issues with the treaty, including cross border radio use not restricted by geography in existing treaty. Update Report will occur at next CANUS meeting Spring 2014
