Spanish Classroom Personal identification House Family Numbers Time
Students will practice listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish to become proficient in the following topics of conversation: Classroom Personal identification House Family Numbers Time Weather Seasons Clothing Community & Neighborhood Health & Welfare Shopping Meal-taking In June, Spanish 1B students (grade 7) will take the “Proficiency Exam” in Spanish! This is a required exam to earn credit for the course. It is scheduled for Monday, June 18, at 8 a.m.… - Please plan accordingly!~

Typical Class ~Practice vocabulary and phrases for the day’s objective(s) / goal(s) through: short stories or situations: creating, asking, participation, and reading; modeling & repetition (movement, gestures, visuals); conversation with a partner; activities: songs, games, etc…; media: Youtube, websites, newsclips, etc…; reading novels; movies followed by discussion. ~Record Participation – Responses to stories, Involvement in Conversation…. ~Comprehension Assessment or Closure Activity ~Prep Tasks in 7th Grade are usually in the form of Señor Wooly nuggets or DuoLingo Lessons. 6th Grade will be given work at home in preparation for Quizzes & Sr. Wooly later in the year. Prep Tasks are not optional. They must be done. Señor Wooly and DuoLingo count as flipped classroom listening assessments and are graded. If prep tasks are not completed, students may go to GOAL in the library after school to complete all unfinished prep tasks.

Parent Portal ABSMU – student was absent…needs to make up --/100 (or any number) means the score has not been entered yet (not a “zero”) Students can re-take failed quizzes, but need to stay for extra help and come to me before the next quiz. Please or call me if there are any questions!
