6 Health Science 300 Enrollments
Health Science 300 showed a steady decline in enrollment from fall 00 to fall 03 with a 23% decline in fall 03. This was a trend when the new faculty was hired In fall 04 Health Science began demonstrating robust growth 17% growth occurred between the 03/04 and 04/05 academic years An even more impressive 28% growth in 05/06 compared to the 03/04 low-point.

10 Health Science Mission Statement
The mission of the Health Science program is to provide students with a working knowledge of the personal lifestyle factors associated with reaching and maintaining an optimal level of health, and to maximize student success in higher education and in the realizations of their true potential. The Health Science program also seeks to provide students with a solid foundation of lower division coursework in the the field of health science that will prepare them for upper division education in the field.

13 Program Strengths High level of personal application to student’s personal lives Health Science Smoking cessation, dietary changes, exercise, eating breakfast, beginning recovery, examination of family history, prevention measures Stress Management and Health Stress Management activity each week Journaling

Explore collaboration with RAD and online course Continue to increase course offerings Continue making class accessible to the populations it serves Change name of Health Science 300 Explore possibility of survey Evening section of Stress Management Continue research and collaboration regarding the development of an AA degree program in health science Investigate ways to improve success in online courses
