6 Course Description Building and Construction is an introduction to the Building Industry and associated job opportunities. Skills and learnings will assist you to obtain an apprenticeship and give you an insight into the many areas of employment on offer in the construction industry in general. General trade techniques, language and life skills are included in this course.

7 Course Description VCE VET programs are vocational training programs approved by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). VCE VET programs lead to nationally recognised qualifications, thereby offering students the opportunity to gain both the VCE and a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificate.

8 Why Study this? Work Tasks Assessment tasks
Various Production Tasks related to construction. Project work around the school eg Outdoor seating Outdoor Table and seat sets. Shelters along the Rainforest Walk 1st Year comprises 8 modules, including CIC, Introduction to Scaffolding and Carpentry Hand Tools. 2nd Year comprises 8 modules, including Wall and Roof framing, Workplace documents and plans 3rd Year another 8 modules, including Carpentry Power Tools and an Introduction to Demolition. Competency based assessment
