2. Cracker Lab
Step 1 – Put half a regular cracker into your mouth and chew. Record what it tastes like? Was it sweet? Plain? Hard? Soft? Etc.
Step 2 – Place the other half in your mouth and let it sit for 1.5 minutes before chewing and answer the following questions (number 2 should be answered at the 1-minute mark).

Working in groups;
1 student will collect supplies: 1 tray, 1 beaker of milk, 1 beaker of oil, 1 beaker of water, small dab of butter, 3 pieces of cotton

Using cotton swab, put samples of three liquids (milk, water, oil) in the squares.

Once dry, the fats will leave translucent spots behind. This may be easier to see when held up to the light.
