Reflexions

2 The importance of NTLL project
why was NTLL created? the approach with partnership; the approach with senior people; what was easy for the partnership? what was the most difficult? what did we learn ?

3 Why was NTLL created? The aim of NTLL is to ensure a series of resources to senior people (age more or less close to retirement, dependent pensioners’ age): they often have difficulties with using modern technologies ; ICT can cause them trouble with active participation in the modern world and new generations who have been born into the digital age and are one of the most proficient social groups in use of contemporary ICT;

4 Why was NTLL created? This projects gave an opportunity to meet seniors with volunteer young. We organised national and transnational workshops for senior citizen to teach using of ICT. And in these workshops young people helped us; This project also provided an opportunity for partners to look at the different contexts to find solutions to offer in to the learners of their respective country;

5 Why was NTLL created? So, this European approach informed partners about the latest technologies and methodologies of ICT support as well as policies over the partner countries; The project also gave an opportunity to share with other professionals, to consolidate and to improve ICT methodologies through an active exchange of ideas.

6 The approach with partnership
This approach was without difficulties; there was good cooperation and each partner contributed with their work; mobilities introduced each partner group to different cultures, but this situation facilitated to exchange experiences, ideas and methodologies;

7 The approach with senior people
The elderly normally do not take part in formal educational processes and are no longer involved in everyday employment: they represent one of the largest vulnerable social groups and are subjected to potential social exclusion, which is intensified with every new innovation in the field of ICT.

8 the approach with senior people
Therefore, with NTLL project we created and educational opportunities for the seniors over 50: they learned using ICT and this educational atmosphere contributed: to creation of an inter-generational dialogues; to disseminate digital literacy among senior citizens;

9 the approach with senior people
to enhance the active citizenship; to create educational challenges for the aging people; to help provide adults with pathways to improving their knowledge and competence; to promote access and training for ICT for seniors, with the purpose of decreasing the digital gap between generations, caring for elders by fighting their isolation and opening new horizons to efficiently use free time.

10 What was easy for partnership?
to share the mission; to cooperate regardless of the role in the project, making available its expertise; to reach agreements; to understand the different cultures of the partner countries; working in an atmosphere altogether friendly;

11 What was the most difficult?
Inspiring confidence in their potential to the senior students; make it clear to senior students that it need to be patient and they have to accept the initial failures; They understood that after Internet access into their life they can do everything which make easier their life such as; banking, shopping, social media;

12 What was the most difficult?
in fact, some of them had prejudges not to be able to use ICT, some of them did non have an opportunity to use ICT; We found young volunteers for teaching ICT to seniors; Senior learners accepted them and so they understood together how to access into social media like twitter and facebook, searching on the net...etc.

13 What was the most difficult?
All difficulties were resolved, however, during the implementation of the project, thanks to the good relationship between the teachers and senior learners . .

14 What did we learn ? We learned the importance of a local and transnational network: so, although the project is learner-centred, institutions, through volunteers, tutors and young lecturers were also part of this process; The involvement of this professionals has provided valuable input in the planning and development phase: they also contributed to sustainability by informing their adult learners about learning skills provided by the project.

15 What did we learn ? In All Partners grew an enthusiatic professional desire to understand the exigence and to see best-practice implemented in the own country. We have learned that the confidence of senior people is important and should be encouraged: they often do not know their real possibilities;

16 What did we learn ? We together need a lot of patience for obtain good results; NTLL can contribute to satisfaction of elderly learners because it satisfies their needs and their integration in a new life project;

17 What did we learn ? Finally we think that through European analysis, sharing and development of a common solution with local variation, it was possible to make an impact on the enhancement of learning opportunities of the senior learners about information and communication technology.

18 Thank You!
