School District PNG here Project Title Project Subtitle School District Partnering Organization List the partnering organizations here, and perhaps their mission/value statement Environmental Issue Description Project Goals Estimated Budget Use this space to describe the issue and how it affects your local school/community/environment. Discuss the following: Scope (how many people are affected, what has been done before to mitigate the issue, etc.) Intensity (how severe is the issue, provide stats/data if available, etc.) Duration (how long has this been occurring, brief historical description, has the issue grown in the recent past, etc.) Resources (what does this problem “cost” the community and those affected? What resources have already been used to address the issue? Think time, finances, staff labor, etc.) The goals of your team’s project should go here. Remember that goals are general guidelines that explain what you want to achieve in your community. They are usually long-term and represent global visions such as “ensure good quality drinking water in Butler county.” Goal #1 Goal #2 Goal #3 Goal #4 Insert your estimated budget here. Estimated figures are appropriate, as is a list of required materials (i.e. lumber for bird boxes). Budget items may include: Construction materials Advertising costs (for recruiting volunteers) Mileage reimbursement Food & beverages for volunteers Office supplies and special equipment Project Roles Graphic/image If project tiles and roles are to be assigned, please list them here. For example, Student #1, John Doe, could be the Project Partner Liaison, and he would be responsible for communicating between the school district and the partnering organization. Brief Project Description Overview of the following potential prompts: How was the idea initiated? What main themes will the project address? (i.e. water quality, pollution, sustainable farming, etc.) How does it help solve the problem? Caption for the graphic/image Action Steps/Objectives Objectives define strategies or action/implementation steps to attain the aforementioned goals. Unlike goals, objectives are specific, measurable, and have a defined completion date. They are more specific and outline the “who, what, when, where, and how” of reaching the goals. A timetable for potential deadlines could also be included in this section. Location Graphic/image Briefly describe the location for your project. You could discuss: What town, county, etc. you are located in Will the project occur on school property or off-site? The local ecosystem/environment that your project will impact Any specific species/habitats that will benefit from this project Teacher Name & Contact Info Student 1 (i.e. John Doe, Class of 2018) Student 2 Student 3 Student 4 Student 5 Student 6 Student 7 Student 8
