2 Learning method Project learning through different subjects.
Making an instrument called the “Rainstick” Subjects: handicraft, music, history and geography. It is meant for age of 10 – 15. Materials: nails, cardboard, ducktape, coloured tape and paper.

3 What is it? The rainstick is a long, hollow tube partially filled with small pebbles or beans that have small pins or thorns arranged helically on its inside surface.

4 How did we make it? We pushed nails into the tube.
We put the noisemakers inside… The colours and the stripes are inspired by our national clothes.

7 How does it make a sound? When the stick is upended, the pebbles fall to the other end of the tube, making a sound of rain falling.

8 Who invented it? The rainstick is believed to have been invented by the Aztecs and was played in the belief it could bring rainstorms.

9 Playing the rainstick 6th form students are singing a song about the rain.
