17. HISTORY OF LAHORE DIOCESAN
BOARD OF EDUCATION
The Lahore Diocesan Board of Education (LDBE) is a body registered under the Society's Act XXI of It established its first school, i.e., St. Denys’ School in Murree in the year A year later, in 1881 Cathedral School was opened in Lahore and, in 1882 Station School in Rawalpindi Cantt was started . After this many other schools were established. Over the years the aim of The Lahore Diocesan Board of Education has been, to take education to the door steps of people. LDBE is a charitable organization and it runs its educational institutions solely for the purpose of education and not for profit. The Lahore Diocesan Board of Education has its institutions in cities as well as in the small towns.
