The 1920’s are known as The Jazz Age. The Jazz Age brought new changes to American society.

People began to buy items such as refrigerators, stoves, vacuum cleaners, & radios. These items changed daily lives. People had more leisure time than ever before.

Newspapers & radio influenced millions of people Radio became the main source of entertainment for people Entire families would listen to radio programs News, concerts, comedies, & sporting events were very popular

18 The Automobile Age With the rise of Installment buying, more Americans could afford a car. The Nation’s economy revolved around the automobile. Detroit, Michigan become the auto manufacturing center of the world Henry Ford was the pioneer of Manufacturing the affordable automobile. With Ford’s assembly line concept, the price of a Model T was within the grasp of many Americans.
