6 FASIE in ERA-Nets Russian funding agency - FASIE
FASIE has been participating in ERA-IB from 2011 including 4 joint calls in with 1 (?) supported project. FASIE has been participating in EuroTransBio joint calls starting from 2012. 12 projects with Russian participation has been supported. 6

7 FASIE in ERA-Nets Russian funding agency - FASIE
In 2016 FASIE participates in IraSME call. The proposals submission deadline was on 28 September No results yet. FASIE has been participating in M-era.Net calls since For the calls in 2013, 2014, 2015 no projects with Russian participants has been supported. There is no results for 2016 call yet. In 2016 FASIE participates in MANU-NET call. Two-stage call, no results yet. 7

8 MON in ERA-Nets Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Supports various international R&D collaboration including activities under ERA-NETs in the frame of the Federal Targeted Programme “R&D in Priority Areas of Development of the Russian S&T Complex ”

9 ERA.Net RUS The ERA-Net RUS project was carried out in 2009-2014.
The initiative was implemented by a consortium of 20 partners, 14 from EU MS/AC and 6 from Russia. Major goals of the project: • promoting the cooperation in S&T and innovation with Russia among EU-MS/AC stakeholders and with the EU among Russian stakeholders • identifying strengths and challenges of present bilateral S&T programmes of EU MS/AC with Russia targeting the knowledge triangle (education, science, innovation) • identifying common ground across present bilateral S&T programmes of EU MS/AC with Russia or national S&T and innovation programmes towards Russia • providing a basis for a joint programmatic approach aiming at more efficiency through increased coherence and coordination • developing an appropriate instrumental setting for joint funding activities in S&T and innovation building on success stories of bilateral programmes • developing and implementing a full concept for a pilot joint call • stimulating Russian participation in ongoing and future thematic ERA-NETs • developing and promoting a sustainable joint programme with Russia building on the outcome of the pilot joint call

10 ERA.Net RUS Two joint Calls has been launched in 2011:
1 - Thematic S&T call and 2 - innovation The initiative managed to pool resources of programme owners from 11 EU MS/AC, and from Russia. Namely all Regional Branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Central, Siberian, Ural, Far East) in cooperation with the state scientific foundations (RFBR, FASIE, RFH), have jointly participated in the implementation of an international multilateral and multidisciplinary joint call for projects. Since the call launch in 2011, the call management has been adapted to the rules and regulations of participating Russian and EU funding organisations, making it possible to enlarge the limits of the programme. 42 joint projects (11 Innovation and 31 S&T) were funded under the two pilot joint calls (S&T and innovation) with the overall budget for 10,4 million Euros (3.5 million for Inno and EUR 6.9 for S&T). As a result, 42 joint research and innovation projects involving more than 160 scientific teams were funded. The Pilot Joint Calls on Innovation/S&T involved the following: number of proposals: 70/212; number of institutions: 300/750;

11 ERA.Net RUS PLUS ERA.Net RUS Plus – Further linking Russia to the ERA

12 ERA.Net RUS PLUS Joint Call has been launched in 2014: Thematic S&T and Innovation lines 1) S&T Nanotechnologies Environment/Climate Change Health Social Sciences and Humanities 2) Innovation Thematically open Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey Austria, Germany, Greece, Israel, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey 45 projects supported with overall budget more than 13,5 mln. Euros 18 projects supported with overall budget of nearly 7 mln. Euros ERA.Net RUS Plus became the largest geographical ERA-NET ever built Next Joint Call (S&T and Innovation is planned in 2017)
