What is medicine?

2. Medicine? A medicine contains one or more useful drugs
Often they are designed to make you feel better
They target the symptoms e.g. headache
They rarely actually target what is making you ill.
Some do target what is making you ill e.g. antibiotics

Don’t harm human cells (no cell wall)
Don’t destroy viruses (no cell wall)

Bacteria unable to keep shape and so swell up and die
