3. What is TARP? Introduction
TARP is the acronym for Triggered Action Response Plan
On Joel Mine the process is referred to as TSM – TEAM, SUPERVISOR, MANAGEMENT
BOTH are plans to elevate identified safety risks to higher levels of authority
Firstly identifying FOG risks – Later other risks can be identified

4. Introduction THE IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS:
Formed a TARP Mine Adoption Team
Visited the Source Mine – Xstrata Kroondal.
Involved Organised Labour
Conducted Mental Model Interviews on shaft.
E-Learning facility constructed.
An information session – LB and BC
Started team training (all stoping, dev and vamp. complete).
Follow up visits underground.
