The Hebrew word for kindness in the Old Testament is “hesed”. It appears 250 times.
Forty-two times the Old Testament states that God’s kindness endures forever.
The Greek word that is used most often for kindness is “chrestos” and is also translated “goodness” or “gracious”. The word appears 12 times in the New Testament.

Romans 11:22 – “Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity: but toward you, goodness.”
Titus 3:3-5 – “…But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared…”
1st Peter 2:3 – “…if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
