3. Daily Procedures Lockers
Keep weather appropriate clothing, cold lunches, bookbag, and cell phone turned off in lockers
Students go to locker before school, at lunch, and after school
Only the student and the parent should know the combination
Bathrooms
Use the restroom between periods, before school, lunch
Emergency cases will be handle on an individual basis

Pay for lunches in office or lunchroom BEFORE school

4. Expectations Responsibility Student agendas everyday
Homework and projects are the student’s job to complete and turn in on time
Grade found on Infinite Campus - use parent login
Bad grades can be corrected and resubmitted
Graded papers sent home on Monday and Redo papers due the following Friday.
ICU is a weekly 30 minutes for student to finish work or complete missing work - Wednesdays
AFTER School Club - Open to all students
iPads never go home with students
If student cracks or breaks iPad they will be responsible to pay for repairs

5. Attendance Tardies Absences Bell rings at 7:35 am
Students are tardy at 7:45 am
Student MUST go to the office for a slip to be admitted into class. 3 tardies = lunch dentention

1 day absent = 1+1 day to turn work in
Extended absences need to be report to office
Test must be completed when student returns
Please keep students home from school if they are contagious, have a fever, or can spread lice
Homework requests made to office and parents are responsible to pick it up

6. Projects Overview
Every student will be assigned projects throughout the year. These are some examples:
Book Reports
Research Projects
Math Programming Projects
Khan Academy Missions
ELA extension projects

7. Missing Work Missing work must be completed in ICU
If not completed student will be required to attend Friday Night School
Mr. Winegar or teacher will notify you if your student is to attend
What is it?
Teacher monitored work time to finish missing work
Friday nights starting at 3 pm

8. Exploratory What are they? PE, Music, and Drama
4th period rotate every 6 weeks
Library will be 5th period every 3 weeks
Who teaches them?
Music - Mr. Wight; PE - Mr. Kassebaum; Drama - Mr. Clowdus

9. Grading
All 5th grade classes take a grade on the same assignments and use the same rubric.
All work except for tests may be taken home to finish as homework. These are due the following morning at 7:45. After this time they will be considered late.
Late work will be docked points. Please refer to homework contract.
Student will be assigned Friday Night School for work that is not completed during ICU.
