The purpose of the self assessment is to summarize the ARCC indicators for each college and show how the college is addressing any weaknesses. GCC’s self assessment in 2009 included the following: Description of GCC Diversity of population Success of transfers/degrees and certificates awarded GCC ranks high among peer groups, particularly students earning 30+ units Basic skills improvement lower than average
