Character Design Task 1: Imagine a character for a computer game.
A way to describe the main character is as a hero. Take a moment to imagine your hero and draw your hero below. Take a moment to think about your character for a game. Now draw your character on the worksheet provided. Briefly describe your character.

Task 3 – Describe the Film
Your previous home work was to research a film which will be the background to your game. Use the worksheet and write down what happens within that film. Who is the hero or main character? Who is the villain? What happens in the film? What happens at the start of the film? What happens during the film? What happens at the end?

Task 4 – Games Design Storyboard
You need to base your game on the film. To be able to do this you need to think about What is going to be the objective of the game If it’s a first person shooter you will need to think about who the enemies are Who is going to be the main character – challenge the norms and do not make your character a stereotype A stereotype is a popular belief about a group of people or types of individuals

Storyboard One of the best ways to see a game is to storyboard it —
This is a sequence of drawings that show the levels of the game or the different scenes and goals. Each storyboard should include a paragraph or two to describe what is going on.

Background is in space Rocket shoots into space. Rocket sound. Level 1: The rocket is attacked by meteors. Zap sound. Level 2: The rocket is attacked by alien invaders. Zap sound. Level 3: The rocket is attacked by evil invaders. Zap sound. Level 4: The rocket has to fly through a space station. Zap sound. Level 5: The rocket has to destroy the last invader to win. Zap sound.

What is the purpose of a storyboard
Each frame represents? A different level of the game, and the final frame is the goal. The storyboards are just sketches. These sketches are used for? Getting down on paper the general flow of the game.
