Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor. Called the King of Pop, his contributions to music and dance made him a global figure in popular culture made him a global figure in pop culture for four decades! Michael has crossed genres from disco, soul, dance, rock but he is more associated with being pop.

3. Early Life
Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. He was the eighth child of the Jackson family and he was a member of The Jackson 5 along with 4 of his brothers, Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Jermaine. They released some very famous songs such as ‘ABC’, ‘I Want You Back’, ‘Blame It on the Boogie’ and ‘Rockin’ Robin’. He then went on to begin his solo career in 1971.
