What is the purpose of the painting?

Purpose The purpose of the painting is to honor the ones who fight for their country and risk their lives to protect us from harm. This painting creates an idea that soldiers will not be forgotten.

Who is the intended audience?

Audience The main audience consists of those who have family in the military, ones who were in the military, and those who are enrolled in serving their country today. Also, anyone is strongly affiliated with the military.

What is the focal point?

Focal point I thought the monument was the focal point. The monument can be depicted as a reminder that the ones who lost their lives in the war will not be forgotten and died for the freedom of their country.

Ethos, Logos, Pathos?

Appeals Ethos- the artist’s signature on the side of the painting.
Pathos- the human figures held together show an emotional feeling as the humans mourn the lose of their loved ones. Logos- a monument made for those who fought in the war and lose their lives.

Background Info Pawel Kuczynski painted this in 2004.
He painted this to show respect to the military. His purpose is to evoke different emotions for people to stop and think about his work.
