Who is Mrs. Oliver ? This is my 9th year as a highly qualified certified educator in Arizona. I was born and reared in Norfolk, Virginia. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU- Go Rams!) and a Master’s degree in Elementary Ed from University of Phoenix Served in the US Army Reserves(9 years). I am a wife, mom of three teenage boys( twins) and more ….

How do I check my student’s grades? StudentVue & ParentVue If you can’t access ParentVue, use your student’s login and password for StudentVue. Grades are weighted: 80% Assessments (Tests, Projects, Quizzes) 20% Practice (Assignments) Grades in Elementary School ARE NOT weighted!

Appropriate Clothing for Boys During the school day, students may only wear hats during PE. At all others times, it must be kept inside backpack. When in doubt, save your wear for the weekend! Male tops YES!! No (Offensive symbols, pictures or language) Male bottoms(pants/shorts) Male bottoms

Appropriate Clothing for Girls During the school day, students may only wear hats during PE. At all others times, it must be kept inside backpack. Rompers are NOT school appropriate. When in doubt, save your wear for the weekend! Female tops and bottoms YES!! No (No BBBB—breasts, bellies, backs or butts)

Electronics Policy on CMS Campus
Student: ID#: CMS ELECTRONICS POLICY The Centennial Middle School policy about the use of electronic devices, including, but not limited to, cellular phones, mp3 players, headphones & ear buds, and personal gaming systems, is as follows: ALL electronic devices that are brought to school are to be TURNED OFF & STORED in students’ backpacks from the time the first bell rings in the morning until the dismissal bell rings at the end of the school day. Students who violate this policy must turn over their electronics/equipment to staff immediately. The following consequences are in place for students who are in violation of this policy. 1st offense – Returned to student at 3:30pm the same day. 2nd offense –Parent must come to pick up the item. 3rd offense – Parent/Admin/Student Mtg. and item will be returned. Note: A Parent or Guardian may come to the school at any time to reclaim the confiscated item and take it home with them. By signing the student or parent/guardian acknowledges that they understand CMS’s policy regarding electronics use at school. 1st offense: ___________________________ date __________ 2nd offense: ___________________________date__________ 3rd offense: ___________________________date__________ The CMS policy about the use of electronic devices, including but not limited to, cellular phones, mp3 players, headphones & ear buds, and personal gaming systems.

Understand and Follow the Electronics Policy Teachers may allow students to use electronics in classrooms for learning purposes. ALL electronic devices that are brought to school are to be TURNED OFF & STORED in students’ backpacks from the time THE FIRST BELL RINGS at 8:23am UNTIL THE DISMISSAL BELL Rings at 3:30pm. Students who violate this policy must turn over their electronics/equipment to staff immediately. Students – do not make things worse! Turn device over and do not get into a power struggle that could lead to bigger consequences! First Offense: STUDENT will report to Ms. Corner (Focus Room) at the end of the School day to retrieve the phone. Ms. corner will NOT find the student to give the phone back! Second Offense: Parent will need to come to CMS to pick up phone from Ms. Corner. Third Offense: Parent will come in for a meeting with the grade level administrator and then get phone back. Note: A Parent or Guardian may come to the school at any time to reclaim the confiscated item and take it home with them.
