2 What is Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is celebratedon the 4Th Thursday of November in the United States Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday in October.

The Wampanoag Native Americans helped the pilgrims who arrived in Massachusetts On the Mayflower, to cultivate the land and fish, saving them from starvation. Next year the harvest being Bountiful the Pilgrims invited the Indians to celebrate togheter

4 How Thanksgiving Became a Holiday
President Abraham Lincoln saw it as a way to unite the country, and he in 1863 he proclaimed a national Thanksgiving celebration on the last Thursday in November. In 1941, Roosevelt finally changed the date to the fourth Thursday in November

5 Turkey for dinner Turkey is the big centerpiece of most
Thanksgiving celebrations across the United States but it is possible that the pilgrims didn’t have turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, corn, cramberry sauce, apple and pumpkin pie, roast squash, brussels sprouts are nowadays on the tables.
