7. Features of K-2 Oakland Science Lesson Packets
Aligned to NGSS Vision and science and engineering practices
Aligned to GLCE topics – most intersect DCIs
Integrates writing of informational text in alignment with the common core
All units include an engineering or design project that applies content.
Materials are inexpensive and easily acquired.

8. NGSx Two NGSx workshops occurred in summer 2016 (~50 participants)
Additional events are being set up at district sites
OS provides materials and facilitators
98 people have been trained to facilitate in Michigan
