Background info: The Wolf Sanctuary of PA was started by the Darlington family over 30 years ago and consists of an 80 acres of woodland to provide a place for the wolves to thrive. At first the sanctuary was just a haven for the wolves; but now, the sanctuary serves as a learning facility for the community.

The Issue:
Many
wolves are facing extinction!
In the 70’s and 80’s wolves were added to the endangered list. Many types of wolves, especially the grey wolf, almost faced extinction, which means that they would no longer exist on this planet.

5. Wolves are currently extinct in Pennsylvania and at one point “they disappeared from nearly 48 states.
