Analyze laboratory scenarios and be able to determine the proper way to correct unsafe practices in the laboratory. Work in groups collaboratively

10 SCIENTIFIC METHOD The scientific method is the step by step procedure in solving problems. The steps are : a. Statement of the problem b. Hypothesis c. Experimental Procedure d. Conclusion

11 PROBLEM What will happen to candles when covered by a glass jar?

12 Hypothesis – intelligent guess, may be the answer to the problem
1. The light of the candle will be off. 2. The light of the candle will continue to burn.

1. Get a candle. 2. Light it up. 3. Cover it with a glass jar. 4. Observe what happens.
