4 SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
90% of social media users are below the age of 35, making social media the main target for millennials. 95% of adults that are online aged are most likely to follow a brand via social networking. Social media advertising is smart and cunning! It learns as you surf the web. In 2012 revenue from social media was 4.6 billion and was estimated to be 9.1 billion by 2016. Since 2016 Social media revenue has doubled and ads on websites like Facebook have a 8 to 9 times higher click rate than regular advertising banners.

5 TELEVISION MARKETING The first official, paid television advertisement in the world, aired in the US 75 years ago on July 1st 1941 on the NBC-owned, WNBT. Today, television is still the most dominant advertising medium attributing to 37% of global ad spend in 2015. In 2017 for the first time ever Businesses around the world will spend more on Social Media advertising than TV commercials. Despite the age of the geek, television still dominates with 87.9% of at home video consumption.

6 TELEVISION VS. SOCIAL MEDIA
Social Media Cost is $2.50 per 1000 people reached. Television is $28 per 1000 People reached. Television can have unknown costs, whereas Social media has fixed hidden costs which are easier to account for. As of 2017 social media is predicted to overtake television for the first time ever. Tele vies are down 11% and companies can nor more accurately determine the impact of their marketing strategies.
