3 Ferdinand Koci International Roma Artist
Ferdinand is Roma and from Albania. He was the first Roma to attend the Art School in Tirana and has since studied in France and has exhibited widely across Europe. He speaks fluent Rromani, Albanian and also good English, French and some Italian and Polish. Ferdinand can speak about his life as a Roma and also his wide knowledge of the different Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities he has met when living across Europe. Ferdinand Koci is an international Roma artist who has led successful and exciting workshops for all ages combining art appreciation with practical work, and giving an insight into the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller culture of which he is part. Ferdinand is based in London but is willing to travel to provide art workshops for schools across the country. He is currently working with schools providing a range of art activities and workshops for children and young people that include: Art exhibition for the whole school • with engaging activity sheets Drawing classes – pencil, ink, • charcoal, gouache and pastel Portraiture demonstration to encourage • drawing and visual recording Printing techniques – exploring • different techniques Collage – how to plan and use this effectively• Painting – exploring different techniques•

4 Jess Smith Storyteller
Jess Smith is a traditional storyteller from Scotland's Perthshire Travelling people. Her past lifestyle which is now extinct was working the land. This closeness to nature taught her many things about the body's hidden senses and thankfully she have never lost them.

5 Ian Hancock Ian Hancock is a linguist, Romani scholar, and political advocate. He was born in England, and is one of the main contributors in the field of Romani studies. He is director of the Program of Romani Studies and the Romani Archives and Documentation Center at The University of Texas at Austin, where he has been a professor of English, linguistics and Asian studies since 1972.

6 Richard O’Neill Storyteller
Richard was born into a large Gypsy Travelling family in the North East. Richard followed a traditional travelling lifestyle, before settling in the North West. Richard has worked as a community volunteer, an educational advocate, professional speaker and storyteller. Richard is currently considered to be one of the leading storytellers in the UK. As well as a storyteller, Richard is also a writer. He is the co-founder of Lollobal storytelling and training.

7 Gloria Buckley MBE Gloria Buckley, MBE, is a tireless campaigner for the understanding and better treatment of the gypsy and traveller community. She manages sites across the East and is passionate about educating people about gypsy life and history.

8 Tyson Fury Professional Heavyweight Boxer
Tyson Fury is from the Irish Traveller community. He is a British professional boxer and fights as a Heavyweight. He has represented both England and Ireland at amateur level and in 2008 won the ABA championship before turning professional in the same year. He is the current English heavyweight champion.

9 Freddy Eastwood The Coventry City striker Freddy Eastwood is currently the only high-profile member of the Gypsy community playing football in the UK. Eastwood is proud of his heritage, and explains: "My background has helped me in my career, because we're strong people, very close, and even now I'm living in Coventry, my family are at every game"
