4. Case Study: Christchurch Beach Recycling Scheme – Spring 2015
Project: Approved scheme to return beach volumes between Mudeford Quay and Steamer Pt to pre-2013/14 storm damage levels.
Option 1: Recycle up to 20,000cum of material from the ebb-tide delta off the northern tip of Mudeford Sandbank.
Option 2: Import beach material from licenced dredging site off the IoW.
Funding: Via the FCERM Grant in Aid Recovery programme. Budget £900,000. Tenders due for return by mid February Construction programmed for mid-April with completion due by the end of May 2015.
