The content of GEOSS GCI is made of your contribution, what GEO can do for you ? What type of useful information we could provide back to you?
Data Providers contributing to GEOSS GCI have different profiles and thus different needs.
The scope of this session is to hear the various type of needs from different data providers.

3. Statistics: What exist at the moment ?
- GEOSS Portal (Google analytics) –ESA - GEOSEC
- GEO DAB (site) – CNR
How can we ameliorate? -What are the essential statistics we shall capture ? -N. of resources accessed -By whom -To do what – applications
-what else?

4.   Visibility…possible actions -Data Providers presentation page in the GEO Portal–  (Link with registration/Yellow page) – GEO branding…
-Visibility for Donors? What else? -Importance of GEOSS User help desk
  -Create a GEOS Applications gallery where data providers could provides their major contribution for the good of the community (cf. link with Helper Application in metadata)
 -Importance to keep metadata consistency from original records through DAB/GWP harvest process to ensure a full search and discovery process (abstracts vs title and keywords)  
-GEOSS Data Providers main event in 2017 – Spring – Florence Italy.

6. What can I do to increase access to my data?
What keywords are searched, so that the data providers can ameliorate the metadata.
Transparency in the ranking to enable better discovery.

Stimulate connection between data providers and users
Have the users downloaded the data ? Yes, no, why not , data providers competitions?
High level officials need statistics…
We need to know who are the users using our data to do better
