John 3:16 “16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 “But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth,”

I Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
James 1:5 “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.”

II Corinthians 9:10-11 “10 This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, 11 wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.”

15. Three Types of Giving in the Bible ~ Tithing, Alms & Offerings.

16. Godly giving ~ Alms Gifts to the poor,
Matthew 6:3 “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,”
Always confidential so as not to embarrass the poor.
Proverbs 19:17 – “If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD--and he will repay you!”

Other giving besides the Tithe.
Missions.
Other ministries not limited to your church (ie Klove).

19. Godly giving ~ Tithing
Tithing means “tenth.” All the way back in Genesis God established the practice of “tithing”. Tithing is giving the first tenth of all your increase.
All Bible believing churches teach tithing -
Tithing was established BEFORE the Law.

The only thing Jesus commended the Pharisees for was tithing – Matt. 23:23.
The call to tithing never ended as it reflects God and honors God.
Tithing is actually the first step in giving and it comes with amazing promises.

To not tithe is robbing God! “The tithe belongs to the Lord” Leviticus 27:30.
Places you in a cursed position.

Bring all the tithe into the storehouse – All the tithe goes to your local church (storehouse)
The only area where God says you can test Him.
