18 How A Bill Becomes A Law 1. A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate 2. Then the bill goes to the governor 3. The governor has to sign the bill or veto the bill within 60 days Pass it to... House & Senate The Governor

19 How A Bill Becomes A Law 4. If the governor vetoes a bill, the House and Senate can override the veto with a 3/5 vote. 5. In order for a bill to become a law, it must be passed by both the House and Senate.
