2 The Virgin Birth: Magnificently Possible Because of God Prophesied

How was the virgin birth/conception possible? The Holy Spirit! Fused deity & humanity in Mary’s womb – Gal. 4:4 All the fullness of Deity dwelt in bodily form – Col. 2:9 The Pre-Existence of Jesus! New flesh, but not a new “being” God, in a human form John 1:1-3, 14; Phil. 2:5-11; 1 Tim. 3:16 The Power of God! “For with God nothing will be impossible.” – Luke 1:37

God did not choose someone like: Sarah, who laughed Lot’s wife, who looked at what she was giving up Potiphar’s wife, who lacked true morality Zipporah, who lacked true spirituality Herodias, who didn’t care what God wanted Martha, who was more concerned with practical things Sapphira, who only cared what was in it for her Drusilla, who didn’t have time for God

5 The Virgin Birth: Magnificently Fulfilled Because of Mary
God chose someone who found favor in His sight Mary believed what God said! – Luke 1:45 Even if it was hard to believe Mary submitted to what God said! – Luke 1:38 Behold, the servant of the Lord Let it be done to me Let it be done to me according to your word Mary rejoiced at what God said! – Luke 1:46-55 My soul magnifies the Lord My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior He who is mighty has done great things for me He has…He has…He has…He has…He has…He has…He has
