2 Why do I have to use the database?
We can track your hours more accurately for use in grant applications You can input notes and comments that we can read when we approve your time If you need a substitute tutor for an extended period of time, the sub can see what you have been working on with your student More anecdotal records to use in promotional events and materials We can use it as a reminder system for you

3 New Civicore Database Go To:

4 When you load the website, your page should look like this.
To login as a tutor, click on the “click here” link.

5 You will prompted for an address and create a password on the next page. Please enter the address we have on record for you, then click on the “forgot password” link to create your password.

6 Enter your email address and click “reset password.”
You will receive an at your address with instructions on creating a new password.

7 You will receive an email with a link to “reset” your password.
Click on the link and create your new password.

8 Once you have accurately entered your username and password, the database will bring up your current student (s). Check to make sure these are your current student(s)! If the information is accurate, proceed by clicking on “Add Session”.

9 Entering Hours Enter “Session Date” by using the calendar feature. Choose the “Session Type” by using the pull down menu- your choices are “In Person”, “Phone” or “ ”. Enter the amount of hours- use a decimal for half-hours, or round up. 1 2 3

10 (Continued) 4. Use the “what happened” and “observations” sections to record session comments and/or progress. 5. Use the “follow-up” section to note what you’d like to work on for your next session. 6. Click on “SAVE” when you are finished. 4 5 6

11 Finishing Up Once you click “Save”, you will be brought back to your main tutor screen. You can view all of your session history by clicking on “show sessions.” Be sure to logout in the upper right hand corner!
