Course Objectives Detailed analyze of diverse modalities and potential advantages of the use of stone in architecture through the detailed analyzes of: rocks origin and properties use of stone in art and architecture through the history and stone in design today techniques and technologies Understanding artistic, constructive and technological achievements in contemporary use of stone Identifying multilayer values of stone built heritage (ambiance, autochthony, architectural value) Introduce various aspects of degradation and conservation of historical stone buildings
