Information systems are computer-based systems that provide information where and when needed in the format that is most appropriate to support business objectives
More specifically, our focus is on:
Use of Information systems (IS) in organizations
Information technologies that are used to implement IS

Apply information systems solutions to business problems in marketing, finance, accounting, operations, and strategy.
Understand the role of IS in increasing personal and business productivity.
Identify how information systems can assist a firm in increasing its competitive advantage.
Understand IS and concepts which include hardware, software, storage, and telecommunications systems.

Understand the role of IS in capturing and distributing organization knowledge and intelligence and in enhancing management decision making.
Obtain skills in spreadsheet, database, web-based applications
