Definition of evidence ? Evidence is not simply concrete facts or observable behavior. Evidence is a proof or a piece of information that support a conclusion. For example, before a police officer can make an arrest they need to have evidence before they can take Evidence is the facts or sources that support your written argument. In a write-up of a scientific experiment, evidence would be the data you collected in your experiment that prove or disprove a thesis.
