Personal Goal Your appearance affects how you feel about yourself and how others look at you and treat you. If you want to be treated like a professional, act like a professional and dress like a professional Take pride in yourself and your work!

The Do’s Do look your best! Do be attentive to personal hygiene
Do shower daily Do wear a good deodorant Do use lotion and take care of your skin Do brush your teeth and floss regularly

The Do’s Do wash your hair Do comb hair and keep neat, pulled back
Do keep your nails clean and trim Do bring breath mints to work every day! Do share breath mints with others =) Do drink plenty of water and eat fruit Do wear lip balm and keep lips moisturized

Do wear clean and pressed clothes Do wear slacks or khakis Do wear conservative & pleasing colors Do wear collar shirt, long sleeves Do wear a tie Do wear clean and comfortable shoes Do remember names!

Do wear pants at the waist (with belt) Do wear knee-length skirts Do remove all visible piercings Do hide tattoos with long sleeve thermal Do avoid strong cologne/perfume Do wear minimal make-up

The Do’s Do wash your lab coat with bleach or baking soda =)
Do keep your lab coat pressed Do keep an extra lab coat…just in case Do wear your name tag, ID badge daily Do keep timesheet wrinkle free in folder Do show up early to your site every day! Do have a positive attitude every day =)

The Do’s Do bring a calculator every day
Do bring your pharmacopoeia every day Do bring sharpie and at least two pens daily… hint: write your name on them Do bring your mini-notebook and keep information organized and updated Do bring your lunch and snacks Do bring bottled water (labeled with name)

The Don’ts Do not look like you just got out of bed
Do not skip showers Do not forget to wear deodorant Do not have funky breath Do not have dry, cracked lips Do not wear wrinkled clothes or scrubs Do not wear a stained lab coat Do not wear t-shirts
