PerformanceI Q User Guide
Benchmark Management - Admin Updated May 2017
2
Admin – Benchmark Management
Benchmark changes may be made at the institution level or at the Portfolio/SCORECARD® level. This section is an entitlement, so access to this functionality may vary. To access, click on the Admin tab and then click on Benchmark Management. Institution Assignments – Affect the whole institution; default benchmarks may be changed and static/policy benchmarks created. Portfolio/SCORECARD® Assignments – Affect individual portfolios; multiple portfolio benchmarks may be assigned, specific class- and subclass-level benchmarks may be changed, and static/policy benchmarks assigned. Note: SCORECARD® Assignments may appear as Portfolio Assignments for some institutions.
3
Institution Assignments
Institution Assignments allows administrators to manage benchmarks that are available for use by the institution. You can create, edit and delete static/policy benchmarks, change default benchmarks, and designate the default benchmarks for comparisons on Management Reports and for overlay on the Trend Graph tab. Note: SCORECARD® Defaults may appear as Portfolio Defaults for some institutions.
4
Institution Assignments – Static/Policy Management
In Static/Policy Management, new static/policy benchmarks can be created, and benchmarks may be edited or deleted. A static/policy benchmark is a blend of industry benchmarks with fixed allocations for each benchmark. The institution determines the indexes used and the weightings for each and can create as many as needed. Within Benchmark Management, static/policy benchmarks are created and managed under Institution Assignments and applied to portfolios under Portfolio/SCORECARD® Assignments. Once a benchmark is created, it must be calculated and published to the web. After this process is complete, the new benchmark may be assigned to a portfolio. The new benchmark will be available after the next production cycle; to see changes sooner, contact Client Services at
5
Static/Policy Management
The Static/Policy dashboard displays the list of static benchmarks currently available with links to manage those benchmarks. Create New – Click to create a new static/policy benchmark. Search By: – Choose Contains Benchmark to search for benchmarks that include a specific index or choose Static/Policy Name to search by name of a benchmark. Enter criteria and click Search. View/Edit – Click on the icon to view or edit indexes and weightings used in a static benchmark. Delete Selected – Click on the checkbox next to a static benchmark and then click on Delete Selected; click OK to confirm deletion. Only benchmarks not currently assigned to a portfolio may be deleted.
6
Create Static/Policy Benchmark
Under Institution Benchmarks, Static/Policy Management, click on Create New. Enter a name for the new benchmark in the Static/Policy Name field. Click on Add Benchmark to search for the first index to include. This will display all benchmarks available; enter search criteria and click on Search. (Search standard to locate the S&P 500.) Click on the index to include. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all indexes have been selected. Enter the weightings in the Weight% field; total must equal 100%. Click on Save. A confirmation screen will appear. The new benchmark will be available after the next production cycle; to see the changes sooner, contact Client Services at
7
Edit Static/Policy Benchmark
Under Institution Benchmarks, Static/Policy Management, search for the static/policy benchmark to change by choosing Static/Policy Name or Contains Benchmark, entering search criteria and then click on Search. Click on the Edit icon next to the benchmark to change. You can add and remove benchmarks, adjust weighting percentages, and rename existing static/policy benchmarks.
8
Edit a Static/Policy Benchmark (continued)
Edit the current benchmark: To change the name of the benchmark, enter a new name in the Static/Policy Name field. To delete an index from the current blend, click on the checkbox next to the index to delete and then click on Delete Selected. Adjust weightings to equal 100%. To add an index to the current blend, click on Add Benchmark. Enter search criteria for the index to add and click on Search. Click on the index name to add it to the blend. To adjust weightings, enter numbers in the Weight % fields to equal 100%. After making changes, click on Save. A confirmation screen will appear. The updated benchmark will be available after the next production cycle; to see changes sooner, contact Client Services at

Default Benchmarks Portfolio/SCORECARD® Defaults allows users to view and change current default benchmarks assigned for all classification structures. When a default benchmark is changed, portfolios using the default will display the new benchmark. Those not using the default benchmark will not be affected by the change. To modify a default benchmark: Click on Institution Assignments, and then Portfolio/SCORECARD® Defaults. Choose the classification structure and level (Class/Subclass, Class/Style/Manager, Mirror). Click on the Modify icon on the same line as the benchmark to change. The new screen displays the current default. Click Add Benchmark to choose a new default. Enter search criteria for the new benchmark and click on Search. Click on the new default benchmark name.

Default Benchmarks (continued)
All default benchmarks are now displayed (current and new). Use the Move Up/Down arrows to modify the display order. Only the top one listed will be used to calculate the dynamic blended benchmark for the selected classification level. To eliminate the old benchmark, click on the checkbox next to it and then click on Delete Selected. Click on OK to confirm deletion. When finished, click on Save.

Portfolio/SCORECARD Assignments
In the Portfolio/SCORECARD® Assignments section, benchmarks may be assigned to or changed for specific portfolios. These benchmarks may be static/policy benchmarks assigned at the total portfolio level, or any standard benchmark, such as the S&P 500, assigned at any classification level. Changes made in this area will be available after the next production cycle; to view changes sooner, contact Client Services at
13
Total Portfolio Benchmarks
In the Total Portfolio Benchmarks section, up to three portfolio benchmark may be assigned to a portfolio. A total portfolio benchmark can be configured over several inclusion periods using Static/Policy, Dynamic Level Blends, and/or any of the 500+ industry benchmarks available to the institution. Please note: Once a benchmark is assigned, it must first be calculated and published to the web before appearing on the selected portfolios.
