Some background to the area
Studland Bay is located in the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset It is popular with tourists. It can be accessed by ferry from Sandbanks in Poole during the summer. It is only a few minutes drive from the resort of Swanage Most visitors arrive by car.

Wildlife Provides habitats for Adders, Grass Snakes, Sand Lizards and Slow Worms Dartford Warblers(rare bird), Shelducks and Grebes Spiny Seahorses-only place they breed in Britain Add images for all the wildlife found in this area
