1. Completing Your Technical Paper Submission for SAMPE 2018 – Long Beach
Thank you for participating in the SAMPE Long Beach Conference Program. Here is a short tutorial to help you complete and upload your Technical Paper for review by our Category Chairs and Technical Committee.

After your technical paper is submitted, it will go through a two level review process. During the review process we may contact you regarding suggested revisions. If your paper passes both review rounds, you will be notified of your paper acceptance and be scheduled for the conference program within the appropriate category.

When completing your technical paper, it is important that you refer to the Companion Document and use the paper template. The companion document contains important information on how to properly format your paper. Using the correct paper format will help expedite the review process.

4. Logging in to Your FluidReview Account
After you login, you will need to select “View my Submissions” to go to your Submitter Homepage.
Then select “Edit” next to the submission you would like to complete
To submit your paper you will need to login to your SAMPE FluidReview Account at To access your submissions, select “View My Submissions,” then select “Edit” next to the submission you would like to complete.

5. Completing Technical Paper Tasks
First you will need to fill out the Copyright & Clearance Release Form
Next you will need to upload your Technical Paper as a Word Document, either .doc or .docx
Both items will need to be marked as complete in order for you to select the final “Submit” button.

6. Copyright & Clearance Release Form
You will need to note whether or not your paper is cleared for public release. If your paper is not cleared for public release you will need to state why.
Next, you will select the Copyright Option that is most appropriate for your Technical Paper

7. Uploading Your Technical Paper
You can use your submission ID # as the title
Select “Choose File” to upload your paper
We only accept Word Documents (doc. or .docx)
When uploading you technical paper you will be asked to insert a title. You should insert you Submission ID# as the title. If this is a new version – you can note that in the title as well. Then you will need to select “Choose File” to upload your paper. Keep in mind that we only accept Word Documents.

8. Technical Paper Preview
After you upload your Technical Paper it will take you to the PDF preview page.
Sometimes images and figures look distorted on the PDF viewer. This will not affect your paper review since our reviewers will be working with the actual Word Document that was uploaded by you.
Select the back button to return to your submission.

After you complete the Copyright Task and Technical Paper Submission Task you may complete your submission.
You will receive an automated messaged confirming that your submission has been received.

10. Technical Paper Timeline
Abstract Submissions were due December 1, 2017
Notice of Abstract Acceptance was December 21, 2017
Final Technical Papers are due February 1, 2018
Technical Paper Reviews will take place during February and March, 2018
Preliminary Conference Program will be available March 2018
Paper Acceptance will be announced in April 2018
Final Conference Schedule will be available April 2018
