2
New Ceramic Charge Roller:
New ceramic outer layer will be more durable, allowing far greater lifespan What changed?: The new ceramic charge roller coating will not touch the PIP surface What’s in it for the customer?: Fewer replacements of the charge roller – increasing press uptime Reduced need to clean the charge roller as it rides above the PIP
3
New BID concept* What’s in it for the customer?
Separating the BID to two products: BID base and Developer roller What’s in it for the customer? Higher lifespan and press productivity Improved performance Cleaner and faster replacement Lower logistics costs Better sustainability *Release pending on product readiness
4
New Silica Gel Filter Increase the size of the Si-Gel filter from 8 inches to 12 inches Addition of four filter slates, increasing the lifespan from 750Kimpressions to ~ 5M impressions What’s in it for the customer?: Improved productivity and less down time

Print with environment in mind
HP has a long and distinguished tradition of environmental commitment. We implement a set of policies, goals, programs and activities that start from product design, supply chain management, and global operations to its take-back and recycling programs Manufacturing and supply chain Efficient printing Take back, reuse and recycle program Designed for environmental sustainability

CO2 neutral of press manufacturing process Offsetting carbon emissions with community projects
HP Indigo has established a program in collaboration with Good Energy Initiative* to offset carbon emissions associated with the manufacturing of HP Indigo new presses During 2013, HP Indigo invested in several different carbon offsetting projects such as reforestation and social investment in renewable energy including solar and biofuel * Good Energy Initiative is a unique project for environmental learning and leadership. A comprehensive Supplies take back program *
HP offers free take-back services for HP Indigo supplies, including BIDs, ink cartridges and tubes , Imaging oil and Bobbin wires. This program is fully compliant with all applicable laws. Waste materials are collected from the customer’s site and recycled or taken back as part of parts reuse programs. * Take back program varies between countries

EPM mode saves energy! Reduces electricity per printed page by 25% If x is the amount of energy used per impression printed and most jobs consist of 4 colors CMYK, then instead of consuming 4x per printed page, you consume 3x in EPM mode 4x – 3x = 25% reduction of electricity per printed page 4x

Full RIO (Regenerated Imaging Oil) system
No need to add imaging oil from external source The new system enables the press to be self-sustainable in terms of imaging oil usage Imaging oil from the ink cartridges is sufficient for printing process as well as maintenance RIO has 3 new major changes: Significantly larger Imaging oil storage tank (27lit) Automated Imaging oil filling of ink tank when required 3rd bottle in the utility cabinet for collecting excess imaging oil
12
What’s new in the Imaging oil usage?
Today Press consumes its imaging oil ~80% from ink cartridges and ~20% from external containers What’s new? Press consumes its imaging oil 100% from ink cartridges Adding 3rd bottle to the wastes stream for collecting excess imaging oil* The collected imaging oil can be reused for printing process and maintenance will reduce your site waste stream Excess imaging oil can be used for additional presses on site ** * Please note that collected imaging oil shelf life is 6 months * * all series 3 and HP Indigo presses
13
What’s in it for the customer?
Your press is now self sustained in terms of Imaging oil usage Reduce your costs by less logistic overhead and shipment handling 24/7 on site imaging oil availability More than 50% reduction of oily waste Reduce your costs associated with waste disposal Minimizing environmental impact by reducing your carbon footprint
