From: Group A Streptococcal Infections Red Book® 2015, 2015 Figure Legend: A 5-year-old white male who had a history of continuous fever, progressive pharyngitis, swelling of the anterior cervical lymph nodes, and decreased appetite on first examination. A rapid streptococcal test was positive. The patient developed multiple petechiae from the supraclavicular area upward. The patient was treated with oral amoxicillin and the rash and pharyngitis responded rapidly.
